Due to a lack of time, I am selling my Zenith 701 kit. I am about to build a barndominium and quite frankly, this Zenith 701 is in my way! This kit has everything including the airframe, engine, prop & spinner, avionics, primer, and electrical components. The wings, rudder, and horizonal stabilizer are complete and most of the fuselage is completed as well. The engine is a Jabiru 3300 Gen 2 with zero hours. The avionics include a Trig transponder, radio, WAAS GPS, comm antenna, ELT, and Falken Avionics package with iPads. Some of the many elelectrical components that are included is the battery (LiFePO4 12V), charger, starter switch, AeroLED landing lights, AeroLED position & strobe lights, the main wiring harness, and more. This kit was originally purchased in 2012.
The aircraft was registered with the FAA earlier this year and has a custom N-number. The N-number that I choose was 150AE. It's easy to say and AE stands for aircraft experimental.
The aircraft is located in Millbrook, AL (about 8 miles north of Montgomery, AL).
Jabiru 3300 Gen 2 (130hp)
The Jabiru 3300 is a 130HP engine manufactured in Australia. The engine was mounted to the aircraft within the past 9 months. It includes the engine, oil cooler, engine oil, muffler, throttle & choke cables, cowling, and many more items related to the engine. Prior to being mounted on the airplane, the engine was sealed in the original shipping crate. The firewall forward kit is included and most of the components have been installed. The alternator was modified per a Jabiru Engineering Report AVDALSR087-1 (Procedure For Upgrading 12 Pole Alternator) to increase the alternator output at low engine RPM.
The fuel line is SAE fuel injection hose that would be ran from each tank to a fuel selector. From the fuel selector the hose would run to a gasolator for sumping and then to the fuel pump and fuel transducer to measure the fuel flow rate for the Falken Avionics Flight Data Computer(FDC).
The battery wire going to the solenoid is included along with the engine air hoses, cowling, and cowling latching system.
Avionics
The avionics include the Trig TN72 2020 ADS-B Bundle (Trig TT22 ADS-B Out Transponder, TN72 GPS Receiver, and TA70 GPS Antenna), Trig TY91 radio, the Falken Avionics package (Flight Data Computer and Engine Monitoring System), one Apple iPad, and one Apple iPad Mini. The Flight Data Computer displays the altimeter, airspeed, attitude, slip/skid ball, heading indicator (HSI), ground track, course pointer, course deviation indicator, outside air temperature, true airspeed, density altitude, ground speed, GPS altitude, AGL altitude, Local and Zulu Time, and flight duration. The engine monitoring system monitors Engine RPM, oil pressure, oil temperature, cylinder head temperature (CHT), exhaust gas temperature (EGT), voltage, amperage, fuel level (Left / Right / Header), fuel pressure, fuel flow, carburetor temperature, propeller RPM, and fuel totalizer. Two Trig manufactured harnesses are included but I built a complete custom wiring harness that is ready to install. A comm antenna, the ELT, omnidirectional WiFi antenna, CAT5 cable, and two 12V cooling fans are included with the avionics.
Electronics
Included in this sale are a lot of electrical components. All of the engine sensors have been mounted, both wings have been completed wired for fuel level, position lights, strobe lights, and landing lights. One wing has the temperature prode and pitot tube. All of the lights are from AeroLED. The landing lights are MicroSuns and the position/strobe lights are the Pulsars. The battery is a LiFePO4 12V battery and includes a trickle charger. The charging port has already been mounted on the fuselage. All of the aviation breakers are included along with the ignition switch, switches for the instument panel, custom stick grips with a PTT button, and more.
Instrument Panel
The instrument panel has been divided into four (4) sections that are removable. The aviation circuit breakers, ignition switch, iPad mounts, throttle & coke cables, carb heat cable, cabin heat cable, and USB plugs are included. No holes have been cut into the instument panel sections other than where the screws fasten each panel into place. The headset jacks are on the custom wiring harness that I made and I was going to mount them in the top of the baggage compartment between the left and right seats. There are three (3) PTT switches. One was going to be mounted on the instrument panel and the other two are on the yoke (one on each side) with the PTT on the top of the cushioned grip.
Miscellaneous Items
Included in this sale are a lot of miscellaneous items. Some the items are the prop and spinner which has an adjustable pitch, the upgraded flaps lever, door parts for buildng the doors, spare sheet metal, rivets, customm made access panels, several gallons of gray epoxy primer manufactured by Southern Polyurethanes, Inc., other paint supplies, plans, build DVD's from HomeBuiltHelp, the complete firewall forward kit, firewall insulation, windshield, and more.

This is just a rough cost breakdown of the items grouped together. The only thing that the aircraft lacks is the seat uphostery which I was going to custom make myself (similiar to seating in a race car). I have all the receipts for everything I have purchased and 95% of the avionics and electronics are still new-in-the-box. The other 5% are new but installed already.
I am selling it for $35,000.

International buyers are welcome; however, there are stipulations for internaltional buyers.

- Buyer must hire a company to crate/package all of the items or if you are picking it up locally, I will assist in the packaging process
- Must use an escrow service that the seller selects. Once the escrow service receives the money then we can do the paperwork and you can pickup the aircraft
- Buyer must pay for the shipping or provide the trailer for shipping if you are picking it up locally
