Who is Robert?

IT Manager, pilot, scuba diver, firefighter, paramedic, and fire investigator

I am an IT Manager with the Alabama Department of Public Health and work part time with Millbrook Fire Department. At the Alabama Department of Public Health, I manage eight development teams that support various divisions within Public Heath with software development. Occassionally, I still develop web applications in .NET Core, design & manage SQL databases, and coach other developers in new technologies. I am well versed in SQL, .Net Core, jQuery, JavaScript, Bootstrap, VB.Net, C#, and Internet Information Servers (IIS). At Millbrook Fire Department, I am a captain and I function as a firefighter, paramedic, public safety diver, fire investigator, and EMS & fire service instructor.

My hobbies are flying, scuba diving, and golfing. I am a private pilot, remote pilot (part 107), and advanced ground instructor. I currently spend my free time preparing to build a barndominium.

I graduated from Threnholm State with an associate’s degree in emergency medical services in 2005, I then graduated from Columbia Southern with a bachelor’s degree in fire science with a minor in fire investigation in 2020, and finally in 2023, I graduated from Columbia Southern with a master’s degree in emergency services management.
